The 7 Slush Fund Summary

I have detailed each of the following 7 slush funds in prior reports. These Slush Funds

if eliminated or reduced will free up money for needed expenses or reducing Taxes and

Assessments. Stopping these slush funds simply creates revenue to use for needed

expenses without the need to raise taxes or assessments. The first 3 Slush Funds can

be implemented by simple financial policy changes as highlighted below.

1. Interest Revenue

2. Excess Budget for Personnel and Operations

3. Solid Waste Reserve

4. Grant Money unspent

5. Escrow of Bond Money - Refinance

6. Utilities Capital Reserve - Timing of Projects

7. Hurricane Payback from FEMA and State
