Tom's Plan for the Yacht Club: 25% of initial estimates and open by the end of 2027.

Cape Coral Yacht Club Proposed Rendering
Cape Coral Yacht Club Proposed Rendering

Tom Shadrach has been in the race for less than a week and is already submitting plans to the council that will slash the burden to the taxpayer and cut the wait for residents to use the Yacht Club amenities by years. Real actions and real results come from someone who has almost 40 years in government contracting and managing budgets greater than $1 billion dollars.

Read the open letter to the council and Tom's simple math spreadsheet that cuts costs and years off of the project. Transparency is key to good governance. This is why we need Tom Shadrach on the Cape Coral City Council. Tom doesn't care about the credit, the next election, or what the political establishment thinks of him. Just get these projects done and within budget for the taxpayers.

Council,

Now that a decision has been made to hold off on the Community Center and Parking Garage.  Let’s make decisions to open the park fully by the end of 2027. The amount necessary to get the Yacht Club operational and useful by the end of 2027 in my analysis is $62,202,969.

Pay down commercial debt today with Unassigned Fund Balance - I just saved $2 Million in interest expense alone!  You can always reuse the $60M of approved credit.

The questioned areas below should be provided by the City Manager’s office or within 30-days by Kimley Horn and Wright Construction.

All of this should be authorized by June 30, 2026.  It is time for action, now let’s get it done! Please have this data checked by the City Manager’s office.  Thank you for your attention to this matter.
